Congratulaions, this is a great idea. Especially the solutions photos.
We really need everyone to understand. Don’t be depressed about it. Be empowered. Tell your leaders that you care. Consume minimally and wisely. Most importantly, don’t give up hope. For more empowerment go to www.yeswecandoit.org
It is very good that this information is accessiable .Good education on
envionmental climate change is extremly needed . I do my part by telling my friend and so on,and so on. A lot of people do not have access
to internet information.O.k Thank-you
I’m doing my best in persuing a sustainable way of life and in trying to inform others. Every action is important; nothing is irrelevant. I hope that each day goes by brings more people to this cause. I praying…
I saw this in an exhibition in india and very much touched and impressed also by the efforts all the photographers and the people involved in this project have made to bring the awareness among the people that what are we doing..
gr8 Job congrats

I really do hate to agree with everyone, but in this case i have to. I think the idea is great; images carry a powerfull emotional impact. I’ve already mentioned this site on my website but i think i will again in the near future.
P.S shouldn’t we have a token ‘NorthSouthEastWest’ skeptic?
First off they would claim the website they are typing on dosent exist; then that it does exist but only because of an infinite number of monkeys; then that it has been created by mankind but that its not worth reading?
This is great work, lets hope people take notice. Unfortunately I feel that the situation is a lot worse than the governments let on. Until there is a lot of money to be made out of conservation nothing big will happen. All the government led conservation projects are token gestures, until the big companies, esp oil producers, do there bit there will be little impact. Political parties are puppets of the money men, and as such have their hands tied. It is up to people like you, raising awareness, and the public doing their best to conserve energy that will ultimately decide earths future, sadly it may be too late for alot of third world countries.
As they say “one picture is worth thousand words” this picture of greenland icecaps on your web site may beliver out of me,I’m sending this web site to my friends.
This is typical of man. We, as usual, wait until the disaster has struck before we do anything. Mans greed for power and money is the issue here. I find it depressing that my descendants wont have a world worth living in. I hope that people like you all here can do something constructive before its too late. This subject should be taught in all schools, colleges and universities. Its as important as Mathematics and English Literature. This is a brilliant idea, but like many others, does it have the poke to make a mark and change anything for the better?
This is such a good idea. I have a question….should the land ice melt at both Poles - I imagine much weight will be re-distributed around the globe. How much? And - will this affect the tilt of the earth?
En este mundo todos deveriamos ayudar aounquesea un poquito con nuestra naturaleza y no contaminar por donde quiera que pisemos!
por un mundo mejor para nosotros, nuestros hijos y los hijos de sus hijos.
It is sad that humans only act when it becomes a disaster for the world. How much we need to learn from our past history.

We were smart enough to get ourselves to this point of change and if we all work together we a smart enough to find solutions to these problems. If we all loved this planet more than the all mighty dollar we wouldn’t have caused the emissions in the first place. We had emissions free technology when internal combustion was invented but oil was more profitable. Make your next auto purchase wisely!
Consider riding a bicyle instead, perhaps we can lower the rising obesity rate as well.
How can we get more of the average population (individuals) invovled on a day to day basis? I live in New York City where many people are aware of the current conditions and genuinely seem concerned but the daily lifestyle remains the same. Hence, consumption and waste levels remain relatively the same… I assume this may be a universal trend. So back to my main question, how can we, at local levels get a widespread movement going? Any suggestions?
It is the height of arrogance to believe that humans have the ablity to alter the earth’s climate. Human activity cannot even influence the earth’s climate. The earth’s climate has experienced huge pre-historic (ie: pre-human) variations as the direct result of natural events such as volcanoes, meteor strikes, etc. If anyone is worried about global warming you should be more concerned about global cooling. Mankind has made its largest gains when the climate is warmer, and almost became extinct when the planet cooled. Ever heard of the Ice Ages?
My understanding is that “Global Dimming” is also having a grave effect on our world. I guess that isn’t the case here but my understanding is that the melting would be excelerated if the dimming didn’t exist. Dimming is the the man made polution in our atmosphere that is actually slowing down global warming. What is your take on this?
Great job. Thank you.
I agree with many conservative views but tthe “global warming “propaganda is a little off ! 1000 AD they had vineyards in England , 300 miles further north than today . Average temperature world wide was about 6 degrees faranheit warmer . When is the misinformation going to stop ?
THERE IS ALOT THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE.one thing I’ve never heard mentioned is a drive through charge for everyone but retired or handicapped, how do the drive thrus get away with this conveniece for our environment trade off for the ignorant a lazy ,that corperations profit from? you can post my email ,thank you Alton
i care very much about the enviroment. but i’m still curoius because of the not effectiveneess of the goverment plan and action in all countries around the world. don’t they care about the enviroment. i understand that they are busy poeple, but they should make time for this issue. they just cannot take this matter forgranted. i hope that gorverment that handles this issue in their country would be more caring and trying harder to make this a better world for all of us if not for me.
This is important, humans need to know the urgency that global warming and other environmental changes are going to effect our future not in generations to come but now. The changes have begun. We can not do this alone, EVERYONE has to participate..this is great. I’m praying that we will be granted a breakthrough like no other.
I think it’s geat that we have people that are keeping everyone up to date with our GLOBAL WARMING, I don’t think it’s enough the little that we are doing to keep earth the way that it is, we as a people of EARTH should be taking a closer look at how we take care of our planet it’s only one and if not taking care of wil be lost for a long time until it heals it self by going into another ICEAGE
HTC has the answers for Global warming through cost effective CO2 capture technology. Let’s hope the Governments and Utilities decide this available technology is worth spending money on.
I worry about the world my grandchildren will inherit. This year we have had the driest winter on record and temperatures are already climbing, I dread the comong summer bushfires with an el nino event under way.
What is really scary is the fact that our Australian Prime Minister and most of his cabinet are actively trying to discredit Al Gore and his “Inconvenient Truth” all claiming that global warming has not been proved.
Hiya
i am only 13 yeras old and i am doing a essay on Kilimanjaro, and just coming on your site and realising all the terrible things that are happeneing to our world, its just horrible!

I think we should build a big concrete barrier around the artic therefore it will be contained and not be able to destroy the earth. the end.

May I request if there are any econometric based technique to estimate the cost towards implementing the Kyoto protocol terms on reducing the CO2 emissions from four major categories of emitters:
1. Transport
2. Energy utilities
3. Solid waste
4. industries/commercial activities
Land use is one of the siginificant sources of the future CO2 emissions, if it is NOT properly organized and legalized, it may become a threat to global warming. This factor is particularly threatening in developing world like India and China which are exempted from signing the Kyoto!
