Leadership
To make changes in the way people live requires leadership. And change is what is needed to prevent climate change becoming dangerous for all of mankind. Difficult decisions must be made. Promisingly, across the world politicians of both the right and left parties, in many different cultures, are tackling the crisis. Although in other places, fearing a backlash from their electorates, governments remain timid. Many companies, impatient with lack of progress, are taking their own decisions to lead, and finding considerable financial gains from forging ahead. It takes courage, both in politics and in business, to go against the trend. But it is clear that those who understand the threat of climate change and the urgency required to tackle it are reaping their own rewards through taking early action.

Dear Paul,
I saw this quote at the American University campus, and I really liked it.
It is direct and to the point. It also shows the qualities of leadership that are needed to make this large global and organizational changes, qualities like courage.
In my work, which is developing leaders, I have developed a new model of leadership that I believe is required to make this kind of change happen. I call this model of leadership, Evolutionary Leadership, because what is needed is not just piece meal change but a large cultural evolution toward sustainability.
Thanks for quote and inspiration.
