THE GERMAN NATIONAL GOVERNMENT HAS IMPLEMENTED A RANGE OF POLICIES TO REDUCE CO2 EMISSIONS. THE COUNTRY HAS EMBRACED THE RENEWABLES REVOLUTION, PARTICULARLY WIND AND SOLAR POWER, WITH GREATER ENTHUSIASM THAN ANY OTHER. THE 30 MEGAWATT WKN WINDFARM AT ZITZ-WARCHAW IN BRANDENBURG IS PART OF A MASSIVE INVESTMENT WHICH HAS SPAWNED A NEW MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY AND IS MAKING GERMANY THE LARGEST PRODUCER OF RENEWABLE ENERGY IN EUROPE.

It is apparent, as evidenced by this fine exhibit, that German and Japanese entrepreneurs in particular have found ways to make green technology both profitable and functional. This will occur in the United States or it will be left behind.
The current Conservative administration in the US is the main global obstacle to progress, obviously.
Impressive photographs that tell the tale of Climate Change. Unfortunatelyin 2008 the story still hasn’t changed much in the US with our current administration. Despite the lack of official policy, I hope that grassroots efforts will drive change to our ways of life. In addition, sustainability is the new buzzword in corporate America. While sustainability in large corporate America may be looked upon cynically, at least it is more than the powers in Washington are doing. Thank you for collecting this photo story of how we are affecting on the world.
